OK! So check this out. Hampshire College is having a super interesting speaker coming TODAY!

Ashanti Alston is an anarchist activist and speaker. Alston authored the series of the @narchist Panther Zine and was a member of the Black Liberation Army. Alston is currently a member in both the National Jericho Movement and the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement. Alston will speak to his experience as a Black Panther and investigate student activism in contemporary times from the foreclosure crisis to Occupy Wall Street.
This event is on Wednesday, October 26th, 2011.

This event is organized by : Hampshire College’s School of Critical Social Inquiry, Community Partnerships for Social Change, Student Affairs, Enfield House; W.E.B. Du Bois Department of Afro-American Studies at UMass; Amherst College’s Black Studies Department, Black Culture House, Black Student Union, and Student Activities, and the TRGGR Media Collective.
